Halloween? Who is it bringing glory to? God or the devil? God or the devil? And people say, “Yeah, don’t you know the origins of Halloween, though? Like, don’t you know that it’s Christian in origin?” Well, actually, no. You know how it started? It started uh with a ceremony. It started when they believed that at the beginning of winter that the space and the boundary between the living and the dead gets really thin. And so in this time in ancient uh Celtic festivals, they would dance around fires
to ward off evil spirits. That’s how Halloween started. But then there was Christian stuff that tried to come in.
So like the pope said actually no, we’re going to in the 8th century, we’re going to use this day to celebrate the dead and to and to thank the martyrs. And so, but the truth is regardless of the origins of Halloween, just look, I just want to ask you this question. Regardless of how it started, do you believe that it is bringing today more glory to God or more glory to the devil? Just answer that question for me.
Do you believe? Do you believe like as a Christian, do you think right now today that we should be celebrating death and evil and witchcraft? Do you believe that or no?
