The Holy Bible
The Bible is a sacred text and central religious scripture for Christians. It is considered holy and inspired by God by believers. It is divided into two main sections: the Old Testament and the New Testament.
- Old Testament: This section contains the religious texts that were written before the life of Jesus Christ. It is further divided into several books, including historical accounts, poetry, prophecies, and laws. Some of the key books in the Old Testament include Genesis (which contains the creation story and early history), Exodus (the story of the Israelites’ liberation from slavery in Egypt), Psalms (a collection of prayers and hymns), Isaiah (a major prophetic book), and many others.
- New Testament: This section contains writings that describe the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, as well as the early Christian church. It includes four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), the Acts of the Apostles (a historical account of the early Christian church), various letters (Epistles) written by apostles such as Paul, Peter, James, and others, and the Book of Revelation (a prophetic book about the end times).
