New Portrait Unveiled as Queen Makes Virtual Visit to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office
The Queen has made a virtual visit to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) via video call, to hear about their response to the coronavirus outbreak and see the unveiling of a new portrait.
The portrait was commissioned by the FCO to pay tribute to their longstanding relationship with Her Majesty. During her reign, the monarch has visited more than 100 countries at the request of the FCO.
Queen Elizabeth also heard how FCO staff adapted to working from home, and praised all of their efforts to support British nationals throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
