Israel: Netanyahu “very optimistic” after sealing peace deal with UAE
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his optimism after signing a US-brokered peace deal with the UAE, Jerusalem, Thursday.
Under this diplomatic agreement, Israel will have to halt its plans to expand further into West Bank. Despite that, the Israeli leader said, “I did not remove, or will I remove, the sovereignty issue from the agenda. And as I brought peace with an Arab country, I will also bring sovereignty. I am committed to sovereignty and to the state of Israel and I will never give up our rights for our land.”
He stressed that, “I have reason to be very optimistic that today’s announcement with the UAE will be followed by more Arab nations joining our region’s circle of peace.”
