I Saw Satan Fall like Lightning from Heaven?

uncertain, but dramatic, inevitable, and final. Now, for you to really understand the deeper symbolic meaning behind Jesus’s statement, I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven, you have to understand the context in which it was spoken. We find this statement in Luke 8 and in this chapter. The Lord chose 72 disciples and sent them ahead in pairs to all the towns and places he planned to
visit. He said to them, I am sending you out as lambs among wolves. And then Luke 10:17-19

darkness are losing ground. But there is another layer still. Lightning, dazzling though it is, lasts only for a moment. It reminds us of pride. The kind that shines briefly only to be undone in an instant. Satan’s pride led to his fall. And here Jesus offers a subtle warning to his disciples. They return rejoicing that demons obeyed them. Even the demons are but he redirects their joy. Do not rejoice that the spirit submit to you but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.
