Between Pamban and Mannar Island is a series of shoals made out of limestone. These shoals extend the length of ocean between Pamban Island and Mannar Island, and geological evidence strongly suggests that the area was once a land bridge connecting India and Sri Lanka.

These shoals have come to be known as Adam’s Bridge or Rama’s Bridge. But many believe that the strange geological feature is not as natural as we might think and may actually be the result of someone–or something putting it there.
