Burning With Sexual Desire As A Christian – The Devil Never Wanted You To See This!
God wants you to save sex for marriage not because it’s bad but because it’s unique, exclusive, and wonderful. It’s about two people becoming one flesh. Jesus says, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?” in Matthew 19:4-5, this fits with the Apostle Paul’s warning in 1 Corinthians 6:16 “Do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, ‘The two will become one flesh”, Sex is a powerful bonding agent that shapes and affects the relationship between a man and a woman as nothing else can. That is why the Bible uses sexual purity and faithfulness between spouses as an image of your relationship with God. Thus, you can not use sex as an expression of intimacy, because true intimacy springs from verbal and emotional communion. True intimacy is built on a commitment to honesty, love and freedom. Hence, intimacy is not primarily a sexual encounter, it has almost nothing to do with your sex organs.
A life of singleness is one of being content and disciplined, that is why Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 7:7 “But I wish everyone were single, just as I am. Yet each person has a special gift from God, of one kind or another.” Hence God is clear that who cannot exercise self-control must marry in 1 Corinthians 7:9 “But if they can’t control themselves, they should go ahead and marry. It’s better to marry than to burn with lust.” Sexual immorality is not just a temptation for singles. The Bible sternly warns against adultery, sexual violations of marriage vows. But single people are uniquely challenged to practice purity as divinely created sexual beings. “Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites…will inherit the kingdom of God” 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; this isn’t an empty threat. Right now there are people in hell who thought they could play religion while valuing extramarital sex more than Jesus.
When you understand God’s heart for marriage and the reason why He created sex, then you will see the value in waiting to maintain your sexual purity until the day you are married. “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:27-28, any sex outside of marriage is considered to be sinful. Hebrews 13:4 says, “Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.” God is not withholding His best for you by telling you not to have sex before marriage. He is actually protecting you from getting hurt and experiencing deep pain, sorrow, and grief. Don’t forget to subscribe to our channel, like and share this video with your friends and family.
God desires people to get married and enjoy the gift of sex within marriage. He gave both Adam and Eve the command to multiply His image by having children.
Here are Ways You Can Stop or Prevent having Sex before Marriage:
1. Avoid tempting situations. The last thing you want to do is find yourself alone with the object of your unhealthy desires, whether it is images or actual people. If you get in contact with that person is a must, then make sure it is always in a public space and others are around. Set boundaries surrounding your phone, the computer, and TV. Find a partner who is willing to help you with accountability.
2. Consider the consequences. The Bible gives strong warnings against premarital sex, “Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:18-20. While pondering on what your flash is desiring, also ponder on the consequences of your actions.
